About the Author
Matt Furey is the author of several best-selling books, including Combat Conditioning, 101 Ways to Magnetize Money, The Unbeatable Man and his latest, greatest book, Expect to Win Hate to Lose. When Matt was eight years old he began competing in swimming and wrestling and through dedicated practice became a champion in each. His prowess in wrestling, however, took center stage when he attracted the attention of Olympic Gold Medalist Dan Gable, the head coach at the University of Iowa, who guided the Iowa team to 15 NCAA team titles in 21 seasons. Being on the Iowa team was akin to being a member of an underground group of high-achievers where you gained secret access to the success principles, keys, strategies and tactics that most of humanity will never hear about. After winning a national title in college, Furey moved to California where he began studying various martial arts. I stood up and started to work- this is an effective book

Hi fellow readers and reviewers.

I believe every book can create different feelings in each reader. The former reviewer seems to know Fureys` work better than I do. Having read Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy and others, this book was the only one that motivated me to start to work. I just could see the logic of not doing the work, or completing a half hearted work.

Thanks to Frey- this is not me anymore. Although I am not a martial arts fan, I loved the anecdotes from martial arts, and somehow they were all relevant to my work and life. The middle part of the book is where it gets better, and towards end, you may stop reading the book and be so motivated so that you cannot wait to work on your dreams.

Thank you Matt Furey- if you ever read this review. And if I have any children, I believe you have thought me some good parenting ideas as well.

Matt Furey tells his life in this book. I really enjoy when an author walks their talk. The photos are inspiring. The ancient wisdom shared are inspiring. How nice that he could take a group of his newsletters and put them together to form a book of publishable quality. This book is intended as an introduction to the science of microlithography for those new to the subject, and it covers advanced topics useful to experienced lithographers who seek information outside their own areas of expertise. Numerous references to the literature in optical lithograpy will guide both novice and experienced lithographers who want greater detail in specific areas.

A number of discussions--such as thin-resist modeling, metrics for imaging, thin-film optics, and the modeling of focus effects--first appeared in Advanced Micro Design internal reports. Eventually, parts of these reports were published elsewhere. Their tutorial nature is not coincidental, as they were analyses that I used to develop my own understanding of lithography. Complex situations often are best comprehended through simple models that describe the relevant physics, with remaining effects considered as perturbations. This is the approach I used in learning lithography and it is the method used here.

Students in my classes on lithography science will recognize many of the figures and equations. Several also appear in the first chapter of the SPIE Handbook on Microlithography, Micromachining, and Microfabrication, Volume I: Microlithography, which I coauthored with Bill Arnold of ASM Lithography. Other topics have been added or significantly expanded, especially those concerning light sources, photomasks, and next-generation lithography. The chapter on photoresists is approached from the perspective of the practicing lithographer, rather than the resist chemist. Some knowledge of resist chemistry is essential for using resists properly, but the emphasis here is on operational considerations.

About the Author
Dr. Harry J. Levinson has worked in microlithography for nearly two decades, at companies such as IBM, Sierra Semiconductor, and Advanced Micro Devices. He has published many articles on lithography science, from thin film optical effects and metrics for imaging to overlay and process control. He teaches courses in lithography science, process control, and total quality management.

Review of "Principles of Lithography," 2nd edition by Harry J. Levinson.

This is an excellent book for engineers, whether in photolithography or not, to acquire an overview and understanding of modern deep sub-micron photolithography and the challenges microlithographers face. It is well written and easy to read. Levinson takes you through the entire process of lithography step by step with both the mathematics involved, but also, an intuitive explanation of what the technical issues involved are. The drawings done for the figures are done well and easily understood and printed with clarity. As for photos used for figures in the book, they are also well done, and of the proper brightness and contrast so that they are easy to view and comprehensible. They are not like some books, where you wonder if the illustration was a fifth generation photocopy or just incomprehensible.

Levinson also includes a chapter on metrology. If you are producing a microlithographic pattern you need to be able to measure it, and critical dimensions in lithography are not dues ex machina.

The book has problem exercises at the end of each chapter to allow the reader to test themselves on what they have learned. I also recommend working out many of the equations as an exercise.

Levinson also doesn't neglect the historical development of the practice of lithography. There is an explanation on why early lithography tended to have high overexposure and then went to 1:1 imaging and issues driving this. Also, there is a good chapter on the claims in the 1980s that optical lithography would not get past 1 micron resolution, and why this subsequently didn't prove to be true. Levinson bravely also writes up a section on the future limits of lithography and in a few years we will see if he was right. Regardless whether he will turn out to be right or not, it is an excellent explanation of the challenges involved. I think that there is an under appreciation that of the tremendous obstacles overcome in the advancement of microlithography. It isn't an automatic step down, and we do face the prospect that maybe 65 nm or 45 nm or 32 nm or 22nm will be the end.

Next generation lithography is not neglected either and Levinson reviews the technologies and challenges for each of them.

The book is a worthy successor to David Elliot's handbook on photolithography. (Perhaps some of you will regard that as paleolithography.) It is not expensive and should be on your book shelf.

I wrote a supplementary paper in WORD for this book. I work out some of the equations in more detail than the text making it easier to understand. Great piece for your "Holy Grail" collection!

I just had to buy the english translation of the book that litterally led Henry Lincoln to one of the greatest mysteries of all time! A very interesting book for such an easy read.

I Really Enjoyed the First Half of the Book

The first half of the book reads to me like a travel guide. I found it interesting. The second half gets down to "the mystery" of Rennes-le-Chateau. Basically one could use this book as a guide on the treasure hunt which I think is nothing more than a pile of gold from centuries past buried with alot of skeletons in the abandoned underground mines of Rennes. I would love to visit and even live in the area as I do love walking. It is breathtakingly beautiful if you Google Earth the sites. However I would not waste my time on the treasure hunt. First it is guarded by an unknown means, and like the books states, anyone who gets too close is found murdered or killed in some type of accident. Even if you were to find "the treasure," you would never get past airport security with it. Add to that if it does surface, there is going to be a huge fight over it between France, any descendants, the Vatican, the Jews..... to name a few. Before you waste your time and money, you really need to educate yourself about religion as created by the Roman Catholic Church. It is all a farce. There was no Jesus, Mary, Joseph....... read Kuhn, Massey, watch Santos Bonacci on youtube. As usual, its all about $$$$, controlling others, and controlling the world.

Not Upto LP Standards

Lonely Planet Guides have lost their way over the past few years. I have been using LP books for 40 years but this book on Capetown and the Garden Route is a real disappointment. Compared to The Rough Guide, also bought recently, which is far superior and has better/more detailed useable info. LP guide is just about ok for CPT but has almost no info on the Garden Route. There is a lot of regurgitated info on the history/politics of S. Africa, comprising almost half the book; this I consider padding. I was looking for more detailed and useable info on CPT and the Garden Route - feel let down. Especially, when I compare this product to the products of a few years ago. I hope they go back to the old ethos!

Missing detail, not your typical Lonely Planet detailed travel guide

I purchased for my trip to Cape Town. I was very disappointed in the lack of detail in the book and local knowledge that is typically a corner stone of Lonely Planet books. The writers missed several key tourist attractions or when they it did cover them they were done at a very broad brush overview level. Their maps where hard to use and incomplete making it difficult to navigate without using another full map, we end up using the rental car map which was much better.

Informative But a Bit Disorganized

Nice job of providing lots of practical information for the tourist to Cape Town and environs. Although I'm finding this a great resource, it seems like it might have been a bit better organized, as information about sites is found in multiple places, and I was continually trying to figure out how different neighborhoods relate to the whole.

Well Researched Unique Perspective Not Seen Anywhere Else.

Having been familiar with other pieces from this author/writer, I certainly was looking forward to reading his book. And, I was thoroughly impressed. Yet again he provides a very well researched and unique perspective on some of history's greatest mysteries. Providing information you wont find anywhere else. The Vimana's and Anti-Gravity technology was definitely my favorite parts to read about as I had read about them originally in the Mahabharata, to get an update on them and another perspective really helped to fill in the missing pieces. I highly recommend this book for those out there seeking answers.

Torn between giving this a 3 or a 4

Worth the read. It's short and to the point, but because of its brevity, it seemed to lack a certain level of detail that may have been helpful. This topic certainly deserves more attention. I found that by simply focusing on one isolated couple, it was difficult relating to the subjects at hand. Even though the relaying of this singular story was meant to encapsulate what many couples are going through, it seemed a bit alienating. Perhaps the mention of two more couples and their experiences would have made the text more well-rounded, more easy to relate to.
While the authors did mention that equating human sexuality to animal sexuality (specifically any variety of primate, as is en vogue) elicits discomfort, referencing our sexual urges as the "animal brain" within would perhaps be better termed "biological nature." A simple change in semantics can change the way a message is received, as is evidenced by the authors referring to "assertiveness and receptivity" rather than "dominance and submission."
Despite my mild criticisms for this first installment, there was most certainly some noteworthy information. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

A great read if one just sets their ego aside and really take in and realize there are a multitude of ways to keep this most important area of the marriage fresh and nurturing

Jesse now lives in a small town in the middle of nowhere. She moved from the chaos of Los Angeles. Yes, she misses it. Jesse has studied anthropology and used her "education" as an excuse to hang out with vampires- her masters' thesis was going to be modern vampire culture. They really do exist. Vampires have been her obsession since she was about five years old when she swears she was bitten by one. She enjoys reading and writing. But most importantly being a crazy mom to her son, new daughter, and ever growing pet family. Singing silly songs at the top of her lungs and embarrassing her son is one of her favorite activities. She considers herself to be an odd duck.

Awesome!!!!!

I can't wait for the 3rd installment :) it was an awesome read. The author that wrote this is a very talented writer. I got the book and had it read within 24 hrs of getting it. Couldn't put it down.... Very impressed with how the story folded together and left me wanting for more but gave me enough to be satisfied for now anyways but not for long hope she doesn't take too long in finishing the next book and getting it out there.

Jesse Kimmell-Freeman really captures your full attention from the beginning of the book. This sequel to Bella Notte picks up right where its predecessor left off. This book will make you wish books wrote themselves because you can't stand the wait between books! :)
