The first 20% of the book had nothing to do ...

The first 20% of the book had nothing to do with the Templars but is the authors history of the church and ant-catholic rant about the corrupt church.
When the author did start the history of the Templars in the Holy Land there were no details except when a city/castle was lost and the date. There are little details about the battles and who took part. The description of the battle of Acre, what is considered a major battle, that lasted from April 6, 1291 to May 28, 1291 was only 6 kindle pages long and contained very little information about the Templars.
I have reached the point where the Templars were seized on orders of the French King and the author has decided that the inquisition is more important than the Templar history and again has started the anti-Catholic rant about the corrupt church.
If you are looking for a book on the history of the Templars this is not it. If you are looking for a book full of opinions and conspiracy theories then this is the book for you.

Conspiracy Collection

Another in the series of conspiracy theories surrounding the Templars, Jesus and "The Church". Footnotes or references are to opinion articles and other "research" principally based on coincidences that often turn out to be misrepresentations of the facts. Interesting read only because it fleshes out the theories surrounding Jesus and the conflict between believers in the "true teachings" and "The Church".
