insight into depth of pro thinking!

I am a recreational player, I try to keep up with the game, slow the bleeding. This book well show you exactly the level of thinking your up against, how the sharks think. It was money very well spent, it is not for newbies. Some of the math should be taught in classroom enviroment, if you can understand it, your already in the top 1% of poker. Even then, I still learned a great deal, but the math and pure logic is beyond the average reader.

One of the best books on poker ever written

Okay, somehow you have stumbled onto this book, and you are wondering if it is "worth it." My quick answer: Absolutely. This book is totally worth the investment. My longer answer: If you are a more casual player, a "feel" player, someone who doesn't want to study poker away from the table, then save your money. If you fit the latter category you will stop reading after chapter 2 or 3, and dismiss this book as either too much work or just too difficult.
This book is intellectually rich, and spends a LOT of time on the subject of your equity against an opponent's range. And oh.. that becomes an issue pre-flop and on each additional street. Ultimately, this book becomes useful when it is read & re-read, the concepts learned and thought about, and then integrated into your game.
I will note that the author refers to various software tools that he has found useful. I was aware of some of these tools, but not all of them. I have down-loaded a couple of the software tools that I was not familiar with and have started using them. They were good recommendations.
I do not write many reviews. Generally I will write a review when a book is either terrible or great. I am pleased to say that this book falls into the category of "great."
Just for the record, I do not personally know the author. I am writing this review simply because I think the author deserves a 5-star review for his work.

A must have for the serious player

Very pleased with my decision to purchase "Quantum Poker".
Author goes through great lengths explaining the proper way to
analyze plays away from the table. The fold equity equation taught
in the book is worth the purchase price alone.
