Huge fan of Cheyenne and her first longer story did not disappoint.

I absolutely loved Cheyenne's first novella length story! I've read the majority of her short story work and I've always loved her stories and characters. So getting to read a longer work by Cheyenne was just too much awesome to pass up!

We are introduced to Nora, aka Never-Tied Nora (Nora doesn't do commitment). Pretty early on we are also introduced to the back-story arch which is how her Irish family (The Kelly's) is in a long time feud with another Irish family, the Flannery's, due to their grandparents basically pissing each other off and making the rest of the family down the generations hold on to the anger and animosity rather than moving on from it. I know some Irish folks and I'll just say that I've seen plenty of grudge holding and drama. Not that we don't all have that but I've definitely seen the differences between a full Irish family and non Irish. It's craziness and this story definitely showed that. Not only is there a lot of fiery drama, but there is also a fierceness in protecting and honoring your family, and upholding their values and putting them above all else.

I don't really want to say too much more for fear of spoiling the story for everyone but trust me when I say this is a wonderful read. There's romance, action, hot f/f sex, family drama, and no shortage of life lessons and realistic issues.

Highly recommended for readers of romance.

A Modern Juliet and Juliet

Never-Tied Nora is the Irish, lesbian version of Romeo and Juliet. Nora Kelly and Geraldine Flannery are two women in London from feuding Irish families who fall in love despite the fighting, despite Nora's player ways, and despite Geraldine's recent heartbreak. But unlike Romeo and Juliet, nobody is thirteen, nobody dies, and there might actually be a a chance for Nora and Ger. It's a fairy tale romance that's sickeningly sweet - in the best way possible if you're into cavity-inducing love stories. With so many angsty narratives, especially in queer romances, it's nice to read something so sappy from time to time. Nora and Geraldine's relationship develops quickly - or, rather, instantaneously - and while that along with some of the grandiose declarations of love they make for each other are a bit unrealistic, love stories don't always have to stick to the strict realm of believability. Nora and Geraldine's story is exactly what we all wish love was like, a force so strong it can change lives and prevail over any obstacle that tries to prevent it.

And while you'll be smiling at the love scenes, you'll be biting your lip at the /love/ scenes. The smut is nothing to bat your eyes at (especially chapter 11!), but it isn't overwhelming either. There's a delicate balance between the sex scenes and the main plot of the novel that favors the latter as it should. The steamy scenes are present enough, though, that they will definitely capture and keep your interest.

This is the love story of all love stories. No making the romance a subplot. No dark, gritty realism. No heart-crushing sadness. Just a whole lot of cute and a touch of hardship to make you sympathize with the characters and root for their relationship that much more. It's also a quick read, almost a novella rather than a novel, with a familiar, straight-forward plot line that is tried and true for the romance genre. If you're looking for a happy book to gush over that won't put you through intense emotional turmoil, Never-Tied Nora is the perfect fit.

This book has every piece of the star-crossed lover story line that you could want with the edition of a strong female narrator and her female lover. The writing is clear and although things happen very quickly for Nora (the narrator) and Geraldine you will still find yourself enjoying their love and its development. I appreciated Nora's humor and I felt that her emotional reactions, although very strong in many situations, helped to drive the story and keep the reader's interest.

I would have like to see a few things fleshed out more fully, but this book was enjoyable and the author kept me invested in what happened to these two women and their families.

I recommend that designers add this book to their library. Visual communication is word and image combined, and this book examines the many variations of how the two can successfully cooperate with each other in a variety of circumstances (kind of like a marriage: give and take).

This book is like a design annual that we all look at, but with notes on concepts, critical evaluation, and inspirational quotes. Any page randomly opened is informative and interesting, but you can also look up examples of different ad concepts, strategies and trends.

The author should make this book an annual!

If it wasn't for my professor this book would have been burned! The end chapter exercises are barely about the chapter they are in and the examples are at least 4 pages long and very hard to follow! Don't use the beam tables in the back either, just look them up online!

Great negotiation resource

The key to any salary negotiation is knowledge. Know how much you are worth and know the salary range for the job you are applying. Sometimes the employer has more salary available and sometimes they don't have more but you can negotiate other things such as signing bonus etc.

A great read and must have for any job seeker. I read several books on this subject and this is the best. Way better than "Get paid what you're worth".

The key to the negotiation process is knowledge as well as the company you are interviewing with. I have interviewed with companies were I used all techniques in the book and nothing work, the offer did not change. However, reading this book helped me have the courage to turn down the job and keep searching for the right job.

Since job satisfaction is closely correlated with fair compensation, salary negotiation should be something every job seeker should consider. Get this book and learn from it, I am sure you will be able to earn 1000 a year for a few minutes of work err silence.

The writing in this book is a little clunky and (like most professional development books) has a lot of fluff around the content. However, I was able to glean a page or two worth of notes which I used to successfully negotiate a job offer.

a profitable read

This was a fast and (hopefully) profitable read for me. His techniques are simple and forward. No magic or miracles promised, just some old-fashioned horse-sense for understanding the salary negotiating game and how and why to develop your own negotiating strategies beforehand. The mind-opening section for me was the "budget-fudgit-judgit" stages in Chapter Three "Salary-Making Rule 1: When to Discuss Money". Also good strategies to use to get a raise or at salary review time.

Whatever you do, do NOT miss reading a Bev Irwin book! I received Missing Clayton for my review. This is the 2nd book of Ms Irwin's I have read and I cannot wait to read another one! Missing Clayton kept me spellbound and I couldn't wait to find out what happened! After I finished I was sad that I didn't have more! This book, as with Ms Irwin's other books will keep you on your toes throughout the entire book! Her writing style pulls you into the book where you can feel this mother's pain and fear in searching for her son. I don't want to give a spoiler on this book, so Go, Get this book NOW and read it! Missing Clayton is about a child abduction and the related trauma.

I had a sort of love/hate relationship with this one as it was just too realistically horrible and painful experiencing so much through the mother's and the son's eyes. However, this does show how well written the book is.

Overall, it is a very vivid, fast past ride!

This is the first book written by Ms Irwin i have read. Bev Irwin has a knack for writing very realistically and emotionally from many points of view, even the protagonist. A story of loss and pain from the mothers perspective that grips you and leaves you praying for her and her sons safe return. I was riveted. I look forward to her next book.
